GUARD CARD & FIREARM PERMIT STATUS

The Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) strives to process Guard Card and Firearm permit applications within two to six weeks. However, due to an increased number of applications received in the past months, current processing times may be six to eight weeks, or longer. Any criminal history, no matter how minor or how much time has passed, may cause further delays. The Loss Prevention Group, Inc. (LPG) is the training facility only, and has no control over the BSIS processing times. Do not contact LPG regarding the status of your Guard Card or Firearms Permit. The BSIS does not update LPG on the status of your Guard Card or Firearms Permit.
