In an effort to upgrade the level of training and the quality of personnel in the security industry, the State of California requires all licensed security guards to complete additional training after receiving their Guard Registration / Guard Card.
The Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) has started a program of inspections to determine whether security guards have received the mandatory continuing education. Failure to be in compliance may result in a Guard's Registration being suspended or revoked, and/or fined by the BSIS.
Stay in compliance by completing the Continuing Education training requirements with LPG.
What are the Continuing Education Training Requirements (AB 2280)?In addition to the Guard Card Training Class, every newly licensed security guard must complete 32 hours of additional training.
