LPG has a unique blend of services offered to our customers - Protection Services, Security Training and Identification Services consisting of Live Scan & Ink Fingerprinting Services. LPG's current headquarters is located in Downtown Oakland, it's Security Training Academies are located in Fremont and Downtown Oakland, and our Live Scan services are located in Daly City and Downtown Oakland.

Mark L. White
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mark has been actively involved in law enforcement, corporate security and loss prevention for over 35 years. Mark co-founded The Loss Prevention Group, Incorporated in April 2006 along with Matthew Lujan.
Prior to The Loss Prevention Group, Inc., Mark most recently held the position of Vice President of Operations for Sony Corporation of America, and directed the development of the Loss Prevention programs for all retail and entertainment based operations, including all policies, procedures, and investigative protocols. Mark was involved in all design and implementation phases of a 7-million dollar Security Operations Center. Mark also trained and mentored many associates who have gone on to become successful in the Security and Law Enforcement fields.
Mark has also worked for several Fortune 500 companies over the past two decades. Mark has worked in the capacity of Loss Prevention Director, Director of Asset Protection, Sr. Regional Manager, Corporate Investigator, Manager of Loss Prevention, and Undercover Investigator. Mark has also worked on external theft suppression teams, and assisted the California Highway Patrol's C.A.R.G.O. Cats, and Reno Police Department's Repeat Offender Programs.
Mark has specialized in investigations and integrity interviewing in “white collar crime” and embezzlement cases and has conducted over 2,000 interviews with a very high level of success and monetary recovery rate. Mark takes a "common sense" approach to solving critical security issues and investigations.
Mark proudly volunteers his time to a local police department as a Reserve Police Officer. Mark has been awarded Reserve Officer of the Year on four occasions during his tenure, and still actively patrols the streets both in patrol cars and off-road motorcycles.
Matthew J. Lujan
Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Prior to forming The Loss Prevention Group with Mark White, Matt had a successful management career in proprietary security and loss prevention with Sony Corporation of America and the Virgin Entertainment Group. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Matt's responsibilities have included guard force management, executive and celebrity protection, security control center operations, internal investigations, risk/threat assessments, inventory control, and special event security coordination.
Matt was certified through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services as the company's Private Patrol Operator Qualified Manager. He is also a founding member of the National Shoplifting Prevention Coalition, a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, and serves on the board of directors for the California Reserve Peace Officers Association.
Matt is a sworn Reserve Police Sergeant with a city police department in the San Francisco Bay Area. He primarily works in the patrol division, but also works special details including gang task force, DUI enforcement and alcohol beverage control enforcement. Matt also volunteers his time as a board member and head coach with a local youth softball league.
Matt graduated from City College of San Francisco with the degree of Associate in Arts, with Honors. He went on to graduate from Mountain State University in West Virginia, with the degree of Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership with a concentration in criminal justice administration, Summa Cum Laude.
PROTECTION DIVISION (SECURITY SERVICES)
Operations and Business Development
Mark is the newest team member to The Loss Prevention Group and is in charge of the Security Services Division Operations and Business Development. He has been in the security field for over 18 years and has been in security management for 11 of those years. His work history includes a background in school institutional, high rise, apartment complexes, hospital, special events and retail security here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mark also served in law enforcement working with two peninsula law enforcement agencies both as a reserve and later as a regular Deputy Sheriff as a member of their Classification Unit and Emergency Services Units (ESU).
As our Master Instructor, Marcus brings “real world” experience to our training courses from combat Marine Veteran to Police Officer and Security Officer. He has worked plush world class venues to street level low-income housing assignments.
Marcus is highly regarded by all of our students and continues to work hard to improve our course offerings and raise the bar on instruction.
William is Fremont's Manager/Lead Instructor and in charge of all day-to-day operations for the location
William comes from a law enforcement background with patrol experience, as well as an EMT Supervisor and is also an active Paramedic. William is also SCUBA/Open Water Diver certified.
William is a Certified Instructor for Basic Gurad Card Training, CPR/First Aid/AED as well as OCAT®, PATH®, and Taser®.
William continues to receive great feedback from all of our students and clients and continues to be a very valuable asset to LPG.
John retired as police officer after 24 years with an east bay law enforcement agency. While in law enforcement John was the primary instructor in weaponless defense, handcuffing, and impact weapons for his department. During his career John was a crime prevention officer providing public education in areas of personal, child safety, physical security, business security, and CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design.
John teaches Basic Guard Card Courses, CPR and Basic First Aid, as well as Baton Training and BSIS Firearms Certification Course for LPG.
Prior to law enforcement, John worked in private security and was a Military Policeman in the United States Army in the U.S.A. and Panama. John also earned an Associate in Arts degree from Diablo Valley College.
John currently instructs at both our Oakland and Fremont campuses.
IDENTITY SERVICES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Eric T. Taeleifi
Corporate Operations and Customer Service
Eric is in charge of every day operations at our Oakland offices and has operational responsibilities of scheduling, live scan and ink fingerprinting, training, retail and communications.
Prior to joining The Loss Prevention Group, Eric held the position of Assistant Loss Prevention Manager at Sony, and has an extensive background in the guard force field. Eric is also a
Certified Fingerprint Roller and is LPG's liason with the BSIS
(Bureau of Security and Investigative Services).
LPG Daly City - Identity Services Division
Prestina comes to us with an extensive background in customer service and operations. Prestina recently transferred to us from our Protection Division. Prestina is a Certified Fingerprint Roller. Prestina is currently assigned to our Daly City LPG Identity Services Branch.
Mamadou has an extensive private and public security background, which he uses to help our students and customers. Mamadou still serves a large Bay Area city with his security services and knowledge.
Mamadou is a Certified Fingerprint Roller with the State of California.
Jared is currently attending college and working for LPG on a part-time basis. Jared plays and coaches Larosse and is a Certified Fingerprint Roller in the State of California.
Sandra is a full-time Customer Service Representative with LPG
and has worked for the company since 2012. Sandra comes
from an extensive customer service background with the
private industry as well as civilian law enforcement duties.
Sandra loves working with the public, especially our Training
Academy students and customers.
